Space
We meet and introduce ourselves through a creative exercise, and set the group agreements together. The goal is a brave space: honest, and free of judgment. We also invite in those who guide us, living or on the other side.
Six Thursdays, October 15 to November 19, 2026 3:00 pm PT · 4:00 pm MT · 5:00 pm CT · 6:00 pm ET 90 minutes, live on Zoom Maximum of 16 people
An envelope of materials curated just for you arrives before we begin.
From fires to floods to wars and political unrest, life itself can feel toxic to your body, mind and spirit. Balancing the needs of your family with your own needs can feel anything but simple. With technology literally at your fingertips and ChatGPT offering answers faster than you can formulate the question, you can feel disconnected from others and even from yourself.
Scrolling, shopping, caffeine, food, anger, alcohol, drugs, medications and pain could be signs of disconnection, imbalance and exhaustion. Are you looking for an opening, or a new narrative?
Give yourself the gift of remembering the simple things that can be so profound in your daily life.
“During one of the most complex and transitional seasons of my life and career, Katherine and Basia looked for my humanity first, helped me stay grounded, and created space for me to imagine what flourishing could look like. I know that through Remembering S-I-M-P-L-E, they’ll offer the same healing presence for whoever joins.”Christine Griffin, PhD, RN, NPD-BC, SGAHN
Every participant receives a handmade kit, curated by Katherine and Basia themselves, and it is yours to keep. Each item is the material for a specific week's work, and the kit is a large part of why this is different from sitting on another video call.
You do not need to call yourself an artist. There will be no grades, no critiques. Rather, playful creation, brave sharing, active listening, and attentive witnessing.
Methods to authentically reconnect with yourself and others.
We meet and introduce ourselves through a creative exercise, and set the group agreements together. The goal is a brave space: honest, and free of judgment. We also invite in those who guide us, living or on the other side.
Befriend your beautiful mind by quieting the thoughts that distract you. This week features techniques to recognize thought patterns, shift direction, and build neural pathways. These pathways become the channel for your intuition to express itself. We work through story and play.
We honor the vast mysteries of being human. What is this life really about? Why is there suffering? What does death teach us? What is beyond us?
Living in peace is an active choice. How do we engage with a challenging world and keep a peaceful heart? We explore the art of connection, to yourself, to your own creativity, and to each other.
When we address the action of love, we start with the self and work outward. Are you loving toward yourself? Where is the source of love? How does it get replenished? Is there such a thing as unconditional love? We explore and identify ways to access it.
The final session focuses on the shift from a contracted version of self, where life is an effort, to a wider perspective of ease and flow, integrating the gifts of Remembering S-I-M-P-L-E and carrying them forward.
Maximum of 16 people. Registration closes October 11, or when the seats are taken.
Register, Early Bird $600Remembering S-I-M-P-L-E was designed for practitioners, clinicians, health care professionals, and anyone whose work is caring for or healing other people. Counselors, art therapists, grief educators, coaches, social workers, nurses, chaplains, teachers.
It is also for the people doing that work without the title: caring for a parent, holding a family together, showing up for a community.
If you are looking for a regenerative experience, this is for you.
This is a creative community experience, not clinical care. If you are in acute crisis, or in the very early weeks of a loss, a group setting may not be able to give you what you need at the moment. That is not a judgment about you. It is about timing. Write to Katherine or Basia before you register and they will talk it through with you honestly.
A certified grief educator, a certified Positive Intelligence™ coach, an international humanitarian HPQ coach, and an author.
A practicing artist, a licensed professional counselor, an art therapist and a researcher.
Two decades of friendship, fifty years of combined experience in group work and private practice, and a shared commitment to the creative process. They collaborate in honor of their ancestors, and this workshop grew out of that.

No. There is no skill requirement and nothing is critiqued. The materials are there to give your hands something to do while your mind loosens up.
Nothing is recorded, so you would miss that conversation. Katherine and Basia will make sure you have the material and can join the following week fully caught up. If you already know you will miss two or more, this may be the wrong cohort for you.
No. This is not therapy. It is a creative, experiential group.
